Mother's Day

Our preschool celebrated Mother's Day with songs, a poem and dances. Commemorating mothers in all cultures, we had a dance called The Pioneers presented by Pre Kinder Bears, a Tinku dance performed by Kinder Lions and a Saya Afro by Kinder Dolphins. Children rehearsed a lot before the show with Ms. Justina; and thus, they danced beautifully! Then still humming to the tune of our songs, we had a healthy snack of vegetables and dips accompained by tuna sandwiches and fruit juice. Moms got presents made by the children and many hugs and kisses.

Nuestro Nivel Inicial celebró el Día de la Madre con canciones, un poema y bailes. Comemorando a las madres de todas las culturas, tuvimos una danza llamada Los Pioneros presentada por los Osos de Pre KInder, un Tinku realizado por los Leones de Kinder y una Saya Afro por los Delfínes de Kinder. Los niños ensayaron mucho antes del show con Ms. Justina; y así, Las danzas estuvieron hermosas! Luego, aún tarareando al son de nuestras canciones, comimos una saludable merienda de vegetales con salsas acompañados por emparedados de atún y jugo de frutas. Las mamás recibieron regalos hechos por los chicos y muchos abrazos y besos.

Children's Day

To make of this day a special one for our students, Preschool and Elementary students enjoyed a day at "La Campiña". There students had fun in the pool and the park. Our young ones were supervised by teachers and parents; thus, they splashed around, run and played safely. It was a sunny day and the natural beauty of the place includes gardens and animals which kids enjoyed visiting. Para hacer de este día uno especial para nuestros estudiantes, estudiantes del Nivel Inicial y del Ciclo de Primaria disfrutaron un día en "La Campiña". Allí los estudiantes se diviertieron en la piscina y el parque infantil. Nuestros pequeños fueron supervisados por profesoras y padres de familia; así, nadaron, corrieron y jugaron a salvo. Fue un día soleado y la belleza natural del lugar incluye jardines y animales a los cuales los chicos visitaron.

Sports' Year

It is a tradition for Colegio Tiquipaya to begin the Sports' Year with a special event. Each class has a distintive shirt and Preschoolers include their logo. There is a parade, a short ceremony including the lighting of an Olympic Fire and lots of games. This year the rain forced us to postpone the games; however, here are some pictures of the event and some of the games before the rain spoiled our plans. The good news is that on Family Day (to be celebrated June 3rd) we'll have a Rally for all kids wanting to participate with their parents or other relatives!!! Don't miss it! Es una tradición del Colegio Tiquipaya empezar el Año Deportivo con un evento especial. Cada curso tiene una polera distintiva y el Pre-escolar incluye su logo. Hay un desfile, una ceremonia corta que incluye el encendido de la Llama Olimpica y muchos juegos. Este año, la lluvia nos forzó a postoner los juegos; sin embargo, aqui están algunas de las fotos del evento y de algunos juegos antes de que la lluvia arruine nuestros planes. Las buenas noticias son que en el Día de la Familia (a celebrarse el 3 de Junio), tendremos un Rally para todos los estudiantes que quieran participar con sus padres u otros familiares!!! No se lo pierdan!

Fine Motor and Gross Motor Skills

Our students work with their teachers or on their own improving their fine motor and gross motor skills. Here you can see some Kinder Lions drawing on whiteboards. Some Kinder Dolphins are on top of the monkey bars and in P.E. class with Ms. Justina exploring the uses of hula hoops. Nuestros estudiantes trabajan con sus profesoras o por su cuenta mejorando sus habilidades motoras gruesas y finas. Aqui pueden ver a algunos de los Leones de Kinder dibujando en las pizzaritas blancas. Algunos de los delfínes de Kinder están subidos en la sima de las barras y en clase de Educación Física con Ms. Justina explorando los usos de las hula hulas.
